We are a government agency responsible for caring for foster children and are creating an awareness raising campaign that will increase the number (and range) of suitable people who might consider fostering for the first time and prompt more people to research fostering.
The campaign’s second focus is to promote fostering as a positive and meaningful experience. The campaign will create positive social norms (by addressing barriers and tapping into motivations) in order to inspire community support/respect for the valuable role carers play and raise awareness around the need for more people to take up the role.
Pitches should therefore address:
- The social benefits of fostering.
- The benefits for foster parents.
- What constitutes a contemporary approach to fostering.
- How people can be involved.
